Angry Birds Android
Angry Birds – a game perhaps single-handedly responsible for significantly reducing the amount of newspaper reading that happens on public transport – has finally arrived for Android. RovioMobile has announced that the full Angry Birds game is up for free download.
Angry Birds for Android has just shed its beta tag, and there's more good news for lovers of Rovio's quirky little trajectory game: it's totally free right now, thanks to GetJar. As with a lot of mobile apps "totally free" means "ad supported," and there will be in-game purchase options as well -- like the Mighty Eagle.
GetJar is getting hammered at the moment, which is no surprise. Angry Birds' popularity coupled with a free download of the full version is a volatile mix.
Hopefully GetJar will add server capacity soon -- their giveaways have been very well-received so far, and traffic could very well skyrocket as more Android users find out what they're up to.
It's a good thing Google expanded those payment options, eh? What with GetJar doing their best to make sure hot, new games are given away like AOL floppies in the 1990s...
Beta test version of Angry Birds Lite. The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake! Dish out revenge on the greedy pigs who stole their eggs. Use the unique powers of each bird to destroy the pigs’ fortresses. Angry Birds features challenging physics-based gameplay that requires logic, skill, and force to crush the enemy.

Honestly, my only saving grace was the fact that the demo (Angry Birds Lite) is only 15 levels--all of which I quickly beat.
I've been simultaneously anticipating and dreading this day--the full version of Angry Birds is available for Google's Android operating system. Right. Now.
Interestingly, while the demo version of the app was made available through Google's Android Market, the game's manufacturer, Rovio, has opted to sell this version through the third-party app store GetJar. The good news, however, is that unlike its iPhone counterpart, the full Android version is totally free,
It's ad-supported, actually. And there will be some in-game purchase available as well. The extremely frustrated will be able to buy the Mighty Eagle, for example.
There goes my free time.
